Modifications and Bug Fixes
Version 1.02.09
- Updated the ADSL driver to improve performance and interoperability.
- Updated the firewall to address an issue where a forced PPP
disconnect from the ISP could result in the router requiring user
intervention to recover the connection.
- Added a firewall configuration option to easily disable Instant
Messaging ports which are open by default. To disable Instant Messaging
ports go to the Firewall Rules page and check Close IM Ports.

- Updated the wireless driver to improve performance.
- "Shared Key" was removed as an option for WEP Security Encryption
Authentication Type on the Wireless Settings page. Authentication type
"Automatic" is now selected for this case.

II. Known Issues
- If popup blockers are enabled on a client PC, they must be disabled
for certain DG834GT Web management pages to appear, including the
connection test page.
III. Upgrade Instructions
- Download using the button below to a convenient place such as your
desktop. This is a large file!

- Using a browser, login to the router (the default URL is
http://192.168.0.1). The user name is admin, and the default
password is password
- Under Maintenance, click Router Upgrade

- Click Browse and locate the file which you just downloaded:
dg834gt_1_02_09.img
- Click Upload
- Wait for the upgrade progress bar to complete and final prompt to
appear.
For problems after upgrading, write all the
configuration information that you changed from the defaults. Clear the
configuration by pressing the Factory Defaults pushbutton on the rear
panel until the Test LED blinks (at least 10 seconds). Then reenter your
configuration information manually.
