Get your profiles in to me - see highlighted riders on Ride List for ideas
NEW RIDERS - please see Ride List (button left) then click on dates for full info of where, when and how far we normally travel to and during our rides. But BEWARE - we're a mountain bike club, not a cruising outfit. You need to be able to pedal hard, climb hills, land on your back wheel and balance a bit. Waggonway tootlers please take note. Last Sunday in every month should be New Rider days. Thursday nighters are generally OK for beginners but you need decent lights.
For those who may be interested in finding something here (you never know) you can do it with the Google search box below by searching only our site - try it if you've missed it in the past. Try "moron" for example.

The Hairy Coo Grass Roots Mountain Bike Race
Saturday 17th October 2009, Perth.
This was ZOOPERB last year and we're definitely going back. Names to the Gollum any time soon, already had the invitation. Probably doing Drumlanrig or Carron Valley on the way back doon. £15 entry per rider.
Stevie W is doing a charity ride across a chunk of Europe soon. WE'VE MANAGED TO RAISE THE GRAND TOTAL OF £212.35 FOR HIS CHARITY- WELL DONE ALL! Oops mistake, only sent £206.35 or miscalculated!
Three Score Years and Ten percent faster than any of us downhill (timed at 55mph!) - that's the Commençal Comet Ian B, and we're all invited to his Big Bash at Glentress - where else? - on Saturday 8th August (to avoid Merida Selkirk Marathon and Newcastle Downhill Jam on 2nd and 9th) to help him celebrate his 60th birthday. Of course I'm hoping he'll grab his new bus pass and hand on those unwanted Commencals to someone, er, at least a year younger.
Dunno how he's reached it because he's had more than a few hurdles in his way, on and off the bike, but he's a magnificent example to anyone who reckons telly and armchair make for an enjoyable and healthy lifestyle, and a nicer bloke you couldn't wish to meet. We're aiming for a massive turnout, and also looking outside these hallowed pages for other riders to attend. Let's all muck in and support this. I'd also like to propose some sort of fundraising, just on the day as times are hard for some, for a Cancer charity of Ian's choosing.
