LATEST: Terry H confirms, Steve B confirms, Tim confirms, Jason confirms, Ian M confirms, Matt confirms, Alex confirms and Dave confirms! Chris D opts out, as do Ian A, Stewart, Arthur and Gollum but most are going as dogsbodies for the Heroes.
Our wounded personnel aka Mick H will be going if not working away, but not racing as his broken shoulder won't be ready to expose to possible further damage.That means our ultra-successful 2008 Team One is intact for 2009 aswell.
So - Team Two is COMPLETE
and according to Dave on 8th March, TEAM THREE IS GO!
It's members are Jon, Jay, Ainis and Rob! They'll be hoping (and are planning) to duff up Team One. Anyone else fancy a go? Fourth team perhaps? Hurry up and tell me if you're game. All you have to do is be awake when it's your turn to do a lap. That'll be 3, 4 or 5 laps each of roughly one hour duration over the 8 mile course with a 4, 5 or 6 hour rest between stints. Easy Peasy. It'll be a great laugh with plenty of moronosity happening over the two days in our very own MidAirCrisis Tented Village, food outlets and bike spares on site and entertainment. You'll also get to see some real Lycra plonkers and other interesting sights, (rippling muscles for the ladies, protruding protuberances for the gentlemen) so why not give it a go?
PRICES HAVE RISEN this year- it's £40 each (Team entry £160) so you'll have to get your entry fees to me within the next few weeks please - I'm sure not stumping up myself as I did last time for three team entries.
Update on Ricky - from the horse's mouth, I quote:
"The shoulder is a bit odd and dropped out of place but making slow progress! I also have trapped nerves on other
side of neck/shoulder from banging me head which is giving me most grief at the moment.
Not off work just on light duties which I'm thoroughly enjoying. Strict doctors orders......keep OFF the bike for a few weeks!
I think once back on track will do a couple of Thursday rides to get back into swing of things.
I've also purchased some chunkier tyres for sunday rides just to be on the safe side!!!
No need for flowers, chocolates would be great though!
Will hopefully join you for a Thursday night ride soon."

Stevie W is doing a charity ride across a chunk of Europe next summer. Do we fancy sponsoring Steve as a group? [Yes! Committee 21/12/08] That would be as good as running our own charity event but without the organisational overhead. Steve's official Charity Collection Tin is currently at Gollum's Cave, and will travel with us on away rides. Get your pennies in! Blog it! see here:-
