I've finally decided to go with the flow - we're going to ditch the "free" tag we've nurtured for a long, long time. Get ready for a Collection Bowl for all future excursions, to subsidise the fuel we're all using. Someone else can have the dubious pleasure of working out the size and frequency of 'donations', and collecting them, but I've caved in under severe pressure after the stark realisation of how much bike transport has cost me over the last few years. With any luck that'll put a stop to me discovering green folding stuff (and blue, and brown) in my CD cases, door pockets and even bl@@dy shoes! That's not fair on the generous donors. It will also make it a bit more palatable for others to offer their cars, which they've kindly been doing for some time. The GollyVan's a fantastic tool which has already proven it's worth, but it sure gobbles the juice compared to a modern car, especially if I'm not at the wheel with my Mobil Economy Run right foot!Thanks to the Wiggle deal coming up trumps the Club currently holds liquid assets of £61.50.
