Sunday 29th may 2005 - Bye Bye Innerleithen. We jumped (slowly, carefully) into the van and took of up the road for another stab at Glentress Red route, as we'd really enjoyed it a few weeks before and it was just five minutes away. We took the van up to the Buzzards Nest car park and started the ride at about 1.00 pm. Jason brushed aside his injury and just got on with it. It didn't seem to slow him down on the fast bits here. What a great trail this is. This time we knew what was coming, and just soaked it all up, the climbs seeming insignificant compared to those at Innerleithen (I still walked most of them, however!) No matter how much we enjoyed each section, we just kept looking forward to the Spooky Wood and beyond, for those fantastically fast, flowing berms, jumps and drop-offs. What a ride!
