Again Jason was awol and not responding to texts, so John and Terry set off from John's again at Cramlington at 7.30pm on Thursday 13th July 2006. We rode south to Seghill, and as has become somewhat normal now, we came across something weird. Here it is:

We were very careful to watch the sky on the way past in case he dropped his knife and fork aswell.
Here's a few more shots of The Spoon: and one vid two vids
From Seghill we rolled east in the very pleasant evening sunshine accompanied
by a cool breeze. This took us over the railway crossing where this alarming
message awaits you -
On we plodded past Proctor & Gamble at Seaton Delaval, into Earsdon village and
down onto the bridleway through Holywell Dene. North from here still on
bridleways from Hartley West Farm onto the A190 and east past Delaval Hall to
the Dunes at Seaton Sluice. here's a couple of mood shots looking past John to
the Wind Farm along Blyth Pier.
There's a good bit of redevelopment going on around Blyth's South Beach where they're currently building an Amphitheatre! We went straight past the site until the promenade ran out, then took to the road into Blyth town centre. We called in at the Quayside to discover that's all been revitalised and touristed also:
And just to end this journey through paradise, a few more shots of the turbines and the quay:
We returned to Johns via Cowpen and Bebside, up the tarmac towards Bedlington before diverting west to Shankhouse and the cycle paths of Crammy again. We were just approaching the town centre when someone in a 4 wheel drive tooted at us - it was Derek of the Reivers, returning from their Thursday night ride at Mitford. We spent a good 15 minutes looking through his photos of our shared Kirroughtree ride last month, getting back to John's about 9.45pm after 18.8 miles, 2 hours mounted and an average speed of 9.6mph.
