Hero to Zero as Mick H bites the dust, destroys a collarbone and ruins our day! Several people to blame for this, but most notably the Speedian, Ian A, who absolutely insisted on squeezing in an extra ride pre-Christmas (Tuesday 23rd Dec) even though Gollum had pleaded with him to do it on Christmas Eve when there's not much happening at home.

Next in line should be Mick himself for daring to take on "The Hole", a notorious obstacle at the foot of a steep drop in Hollywell Dene which swallows front wheels. It also converted Mick's into an aluminium figure eight.

And finally it's wor Derek, who had the bare faced cheek to desert us BEFORE we hit the Dene, mumbling something about it being too dodgy.

The only one to escape any blame (this time) is the Gollum who is just too stupid to appreciate danger when he rides over it.

Must say "Thanks" to the two ambulance men who managed to find us in the Dene, the staff at Rake Lane Hospital for taking care of Mick, Mick's wife who didn't scream, shout and beat us up when she arrived there, and Ian's wife who came earlier to Hollywell to collect the scrap metal (Mick's Intense MTB).
