Current bikes: Orange Clockwork 2007 20th Anniversary Ltd Edition (no.92 of 200), Specialized Stumpjumper - singlespeed and a Giant road bike - sorry!

Previous Bikes: Specialized Hardrock Sport (written off when a car door was opened in my face), Orange MsIle (bottom bracket threads stripped), Orange 222 (sold for more than I paid for it), Scott MC-10 (put a hole in the carbon fibre).

Favourite bike clothes: Endura, Specialized.

Favourite colour: Black. Not purple.

Favourite food: Cake.

Telemark Skiing...

Favourite trails: Anything strenuous - Glentress Black, Innerliethen - any old trail that takes a bit of physical effort to get round.Anything that is photogenic and anything that gets away from civilisation - like the Yorkshire Dales.

Bike Hates: Unexpected noises from the bike - one of the reasons (there were a few more too) for getting rid of my full suss.

Personal Achievements: Canoe/kayak/climbing instructor at age of 16. No longer instructor at age 18 (rebelled and took up mountain biking). I collect degrees (It's Dr. J if you don't mind). I was almost shipwrecked once. Two time winner of 'Golden Beagle Award' from the Beagle Telemark Ski Club. My work has been immortalised in a sunday newspaper supplement. I wrote part of a book. My best placing in a bike race is 7th. I have twice been washed down a river while driving a landrover.
