Right then, here we go: LATEST see bottom of page
THIS IS NOW STARTING ON SATURDAY 19TH JULY, ending Fri 25th BUT READ ON
LATEST CHANGE! Stevie W is now Sat + Sun, NOT Monday, so we could scoot off north on Sunday night instead!
I can almost promise we'll know what's what by teatime on Saturday!
By now you'll be well aware that we're doing a trip to the Isle of Skye and the neighbouring trails in the Scottish Highlands, for anything from a very long weekend to short or long week. Definitely signed up are Jason, Andy, Steve B, Gollum and now Keith! With Terry H hopeful of joining in for at least a weekend, maybe more, and Steve W and Arthur S also due for Sat + Sun.
Chris, what are you doing?
Following advice from Reiver Ian B , we've decided NOT to do the Fort William Downhill. He knows it as his son is a real Downhiller, and reckons it could easily spoil our week by wrecking someone. BUT we will do the Cross Country course instead.
ALSO LIKELY - Laggan WolfTrax Trail near Aviemore. ***GOT LOADS OF HIGHLAND TRAIL INFO ON TUESDAY***
More info and suggestions coming soon - keep checking back. Or better still, suggest something yourself! WE MAY BE CAMPING, WE MAY BE LODGING OR SELF-CATERING - JURY STILL OUT ON THIS.
There are five seats in the van and up to nine bike spaces. If we're taking camping gear it'll go on the roof if it won't go inside. Favourite plot may be to do as we did for the Wild Boar - each take their own tent. If all or some of us would prefer a self catering rig I need to know, but that would mean much more travelling between ride spots, so not great. Or we could book several B&Bs to cover the area we're looking at but that's anything but straight forward when we don't know the final numbers yet! Tents look like the way to go, but we could easily fit a in a B&B night for a good sleep and clean up half way through, or if the weather gets poxy.
Keep watching and if you fancy a ride out with us, drop us a line here: bailout@midaircrisis.org.uk
