FRANCIS RETURNS! Alive and almost well!

Francis turned up with his pal to collect his bike and bag and looks absolutely remarkable considering the state he was in when we last saw him after that horrible crash at Glentress on the 4th. Huge relief for all concerned, and of course we can now resume normal activities and start digging him about fouling up our day out! Great to see you up and about, sunshine. Amen to that.

Jason breaks a pedal on the Trek singlespeed as we emerge from Hollywell Dene - returns home against Gollum's advice (sensible).

We get a demonstration of what happens to a Seoul P7 LED when it gets a bit too warm, care of Golly's experimental mini-lamp.

Ride overruns yet again due to five punctures - back at the cave at late again at about 10:30pm.

Now even for the most ardent fan of the inner tube, the statistics of the last year prove convincingly that tubeless is way less bovver than a hover.
