Looks like Francis lost us just before crossing the road in Seaton Burn, so we were quite unlucky to miss him when we retraced our steps. He reckons he was only distracted for 20 seconds. Chances are he took off like a hare - not nice alone in the dark in Weetslade, after all! He very sensibly reported in at NMBC HQ, however.

Great to have Jason back again after a sustained layoff due to work commitments. Word is he'll be inviting us all to his private MTB island shortly rather than cough up to the GB tax authorities.

Not great to have Jason back again with that poxy 29 inch front wheel which by the simple law of averages is gonna collect more thorns than a 26. And so it proved.

Very much shortened ride but it was still 10:25 when Golly reached the Cave!
